SUBSTANCE: method for racemic camphor bromide production, which is performed by racemic camphor bromination, characterized by heating of the racemic camphor and ethyl alcohol reaction mixture to 70±10°C, bromine addition, heating up to 95±5°C, aging, washed with hot water up to wash water pH not less than 5.5-6.5, addition of isopropyl alcohol, heating up to 70±15°C and pH adjusting to 7.0-8.5 after aging by adding 43-50% sodium hydroxide aqueous solution, mixture cooling down to 0±7°C and filtering after aging, washing to pH of 5.7-6.5 with purified water, dilution of the resulting technical racemic camphor bromide in isopropyl alcohol with active carbon at a temperature of 75±5°C, then its recrystallizing, filtering of the obtained racemic pharmacopoeial camphor bromide, washing with purified water and drying.
