SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of organic chemistry, in particular to a process of sulfo-camphoric acid preparation, which is carried out as follows: oleum, then sulfuric acid is added, the mixture is stirred at 25±8°C, the camphor is dissolved in acetic anhydride, the reaction mixture is stirred for 20-40 minutes, then sulfonation is carried out, crystallization for 40-50 hours at a temperature of 20±7°C, filtration, washing, drying, then the technical sulfonamphoric acid is transferred to the step of obtaining pharmacopeic sulfo-camphoric acid, where it is recrystallized with acetic acid, and a mixture of oleum and sulfuric acid with a density of 1.845-1.850 g/cm3 is used for sulfonation, the reaction mass is filtered, resulting sulfo-camphoric acid paste is washed with toluene and dried to a residual toluene content of not more than 0.089% and a moisture content of not more than 7.5%.
EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of obtaining a pharmacopoeic sulphocamphoric acid with an increased yield.
