⋅FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: microperimetry is performed according to the macula 12º 10 dB program, including a survey of 68 points of the macular area in view of the visual acuity and central locking stability. When visual acuity is less than 0.1, and the central locking is unstable, the survey is carried out in automated mode with presentation of the circular mark in the form of a ring. When visual acuity is 0.2 to 0.5 and the central locking is stable, the survey carried out in automated mode with presentation of the central mark as a 4º size cross, and when the central locking is unstable, - in automated mode with presentation of the circular mark in the form a ring. When visual acuity is above 0.6 and the central locking is stable, microperimetry is carried out in automated mode with presentation of the central mark as a 4º size cross, and to confirm the presence of central blind spots less than 3° further examination is carried out manually.
EFFECT: method improves the diagnosis accuracy, which is achieved due to the microperimetry mode allowing to conduct a survey at any acuity and locking stability.
