FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: microperimetry is carried out according to the retina 40° 20 dB program. The program includes examination of 90 points of the central and paracentral areas of the retina within 40° from the center of the visual field using the standard Goldmann III stimulus, with the size of 0.43°, duration of 200 ms and maximum brightness of the stimulus 20 dB, in automatic mode, with the resolution spatial frequency of 6 arc minutes and the time frequency of 25 Hz.
EFFECT: allows to identify central and paracentral defects of the visual field, assess the development dynamics of optic nerve atrophy.
