FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method refers to the field of chemical industry and allows to determine coenzyme Q10 content in cosmetic creams using the method of differential pulse cathodic voltammetry. The essence of the method consists in the fact that volt-ammetric measurement is carried out in the background electrolyte methanol : Britton-Robinson solution in ratio 9:1 with potential sweep rate of 0.1 V/s using an indicator diamond electrode. Cathode peak is recorded in the potential range from -0.5 V to 0 V. Coenzyme Q10 concentration in cosmetic creams is calculated with the help of calibrating curve by standard coenzyme Q10 solution at potential of -0.40 V.
EFFECT: use of this method allows to quantify coenzyme Q in creams with high accuracy for quality control at all production stages.
