SUBSTANCE: infrared (IR) phosphor based on yttrium oxysulfide, activated by Yb3+ ions corresponds to the following empirical formula: , where Ln is one of La3+, Gd3+ ions; Me1 is one of the ions of the Periodic System group II elements - Ca2+, Sr2+, Ba2+; Me2 is one of the ions of groups IV (Ti4+, Zr4+, Si4+), or V (Nb5+, Ta5+) elements of the Periodic System; 0<x<0.65; 0.05≤y <0.2; 0.01≤z<0.1; 0.005≤d<0.05.

EFFECT: increased Stokes IR luminescence in the area of 0,94-0,98 microns of the known phosphor based on yttrium oxysulfide.
