FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: infrared (IR) complex acting phosphor based on yttrium oxysulfide, activated by Tm3+ ions, has a composition corresponding to the following empirical formula: (Y1-x-y-z-dLnxTmyMe1zMe2d)2O2S, where Ln is one of La3+, Gd3+ ions; Me1 is one of the ions of the Periodic System group II elements - Ca2+, Sr2+, Ba2+; Me2 is one of the ions of the Periodic System group IV elements - (Ti4+, Zr4+, Si4+) or one of the ions of the Periodic System group V elements - (Nb5+, Ta5+); 0<x<0,80; 0.0025≤y<0.05; 0.01≤z<0.1; 0.005≤d<0.05.
EFFECT: invention enables to increase the depth of photostimulated quenching of Stokes IR band luminescence of the mentioned ions in ranges of 1,36-1,52 mcm and 1,65-1,98 mcm without significant changes to the initial radiation source spectral composition, under the combined action of exciting IR radiation in the range of 0,79-0,82 mcm and stimulating radiation in the range of 0,30-0,75 mcm.
