AUTOMATIC CONTROL METHOD OF REMOVING FUEL ELEMENTS ALPHA-POLLUTION AND DEVICE FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC G01T1/16

Abstract RU 2615036 C1

FIELD: power industry.

SUBSTANCE: automatic control method of removing fuel elements alpha-pollution includes stages, at which fuel element is fed stepwise to the position of its surface contacting the material made in the form of cloth tape, which is also fed stepwise transversely to fuel elements. The surface of the latter is mechanically tightly crimped with the tape from the bottom with the standardized loading, not exceeding the strength limit of the cloth tape and the fuel element, but sufficient for the sorption in it the alpha particles. Then the fuel element is pulled through the tape until receipt of the dry draw-down (spot), remove the mechanical pressed force and move the tape with the received spot to the step under the installed over it α-detector, registering the presence of pollution. The review possibility of the detector should exceed the size of the contact spot, after that the pollution level of the fuel element is determined in the established procedure with the known measuring equipment.

EFFECT: fuel elements pollution determination process automation.
