FIELD: nuclear physics and equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to nuclear power engineering. Method for automatic control of the removed radioactive contamination of surface of the fuel elements (RRCS) consists in the fact that the fuel element is supplied to the unit for removing the smear into the position of contact with the fabric tape directed to the fuel element across its axis. Dense reduction of surface of fuel element is performed with tape. Fuel element is pulled through the smear removal unit, the tape is moved with the obtained active contact spot on the smear into the detection unit. Performing registration α-activity of the contact spot on the smear. Setting friction force Fc. Smear removal rate Kc is calibrated. Fuel element is drawn through the reduction zone, controlling the friction force of the fuel rod sliding along the reduced band F, after removal of squeezing, movement of band with smear on spacing lsp under radiometer and count rate measurement ncou from α-activity of the contact spot on the smear is calculated flow density α-particles q, averaged over strained surface of fuel element, by formula q=ncou/(β* K), where K=Kc [1+λ*(F*F1c-1)]. There is also a device for performing a method for automatic control of the radioactive contamination of the surface of a fuel element.

EFFECT: group of inventions enables to achieve required values of RRCS control accuracy and efficiency of fuel elements.
