FIELD: nuclear safety.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of monitoring the removed alpha contamination of fuel elements and can be used at nuclear energy facilities. A device for automating control of removed alpha contamination of a fuel rod contains a device with a wiping tape, a mechanism for crimping the tape to the surface of the fuel rod, a spring block, a force sensor and a normalizing transducer, and a linear motion drive. Additionally, a device for setting the compression force, a subtracting device and a proportional-integrating controller were introduced. The output of the device for setting the compression force is connected to the first non-inverting input of the subtracting device, to the second subtracting input of which the output of the normalizing converter of the force sensor is connected. The output of the subtracting device is connected to the input of the proportional-integrating controller, the output of which is connected to the input of the linear motion drive motor.

EFFECT: ability to create a device for automating the control of removed alpha contamination of a fuel rod, the use of which will simplify the process of determining alpha contamination while ensuring the required degree of accuracy.
