METHOD FOR REHABILITATION EFFICIENCY EVALUATION FOR PATIENTS AFTER STROKE Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61B5/00

Abstract RU 2615275 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: indicators of body functions violations are measured using standardized rating scales and categories of the International Classification of Functioning. The severity of the restriction (α) degree is determined for each indicator by the stated formula. Then, the resulting value α assigned to the restirction severoty determinantα. If the value α is 0-4%, the absence of violations and αi=0 are determined. If the value α is 5-24%, light violations and αi=1 are determined. If the value α is 25-49%, moderate violations and αi=2 are determined. If the value α is 50-95%, severe violations and αi=3 are determined. If the value α is 96-100%, absolute violations and αi=4 are determined. Next, the initial and final rehabilitation potential (RP) are calculated by the stated formula. The rehabilitation effeciency (RE) is determined by the stated formula. At RE 0-5%, rehabilitation efficiency is considered as having no dynamics. At 5-20% - as satisfactory. At 21-50% - as good. At 50% and higher - as very good.

EFFECT: method allows accurate and efficient assessment of patient rehabilitation after a stroke due to inclusion of standardized rating scales and categories of the International Classification of Functioning.
