FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and is represented by laminated material to be used for protection against puncturing of flexible filled prostheses, consisting of base and top layers of elastomer, and an intermediate layer between the base and the top layer. The intermediate laeyr is silicone elastomer with the thickness of 2.54-3.05 mm, providing self-sealing of a needle-punctured hole. Laminated material includes protection against puncturing, connected to the base layer and containing multiple composite protective layers, each of them includes a plurality of puncturing-resistant elements located at a distance from one another on a flexible substrate. Puncture-resistant elements of at least some adjacent composite layers are arranged offset relative to each other. The invention also refers to flexible self-sealing prosthesis.
EFFECT: invention provides enhanced protection of the prosthesis shell against puncturing.
