Method involves melting solid material by plasma arc, controlling said arc by adding to plasma at least one additive (ZS1, ZS2), acting on composition of plasma. Melting of solid material is carried out with at least one electrode of plasma arc.

EFFECT: higher efficiency and power of electric arc furnace.
