FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for carbon sorbent preparation comprises carbonization and subsequent activation of raw material in the form of industrial thermazote. Raw material carbonization is carried out in the carbon hydroxide atmosphere with a heating rate of 8-10°C/min and keeping for 30 minutes to 1 hour at a temperature of 600°C. Carbonized raw material is activated with potassium hydroxide at a temperature of 800-845°C.
EFFECT: development of an energy-efficient method for carbon uniformly microporous sorbent production with high yield.
