FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: mobile X-ray densimeter includes an X-ray generator with a window which focuses a wideband panoramic radiation beam, two energy-dispersive detectors which detect radiation back-scattered from the analysed object, two distance centres for determining the impact of change of geometry in the measurement process during movement, wherein between the detectors and the window of the X-ray generator there is a target made of material which emits characteristic X-ray radiation with energy in the range of 15 to 35 keV, made in the form of an elongated rectangular plate, bent on the transverse axis of symmetry and facing with the convex surface towards the window of the X-ray generator and narrow sides towards the detectors, and each detector is provided with an additional collimator, which transmits the beam of characteristic X-ray radiation of the target to the detector.

EFFECT: high stability and reduced measurement errors.
