FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: holder is made in the form of two rods positoned at the angle. The shank end is mounted at the end of the first rod for its fixing, and the cross slot is made at the end of the second one, where the shank end of the cooling non-continuous electrode is installed. The rods are made with longitudinal channels for the coolant circulation, cooling the electrode through the wall of the cross slot, open one into the other. The channel of the holder second rod in its bottom area is connected by the window to the mentioned cross slot for supplying the coolant to it, at the bottom of which the cavity is formed with the porous material placed therein. The shank end of the non-continuous electrode is made with the cavity, passing from one side into the electrode rear part cavity, into which its transverse windows connected to the atmosphere are opened. From the other hand, the shank cavity is opened into the cross slot cavity of the second rod holder with the porous material.

EFFECT: lowering of the electrode heating level, which increases its resistance.
