FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: fiber laser contains a pumping source and a resonator made entirely of polarization-preserving elements and consisting of two fiber loops, passive and active, connected via a fused fiber four-port coupler. In the active loop of the resonator, an additional segment of the active fiber, an additional fiber combiner of wavelengths and an additional pump source are introduced. One end of the additional active fiber section is connected to the fourth port of the fused fiber four-port coupler and the other end of the additional active fiber section is connected to the output port of the additional fiber wavelength combiner whose pump input is connected to an additional pump source and the signal port is connected to the signal port of the main fiber combiner of wavelengths.
EFFECT: ensuring the possibility of implementing a stable passive mode synchronization of radiation, increasing the efficiency of converting the energy of optical pumping into the energy of generated pulses, ensuring the reliability of the design and the absence of maintenance in service and after transport.
