FIELD: laser engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laser equipment. Fiber laser for generating high-energy light pulses contains a pumping source, a pump radiation input coupler, a fiber ring resonator with a length of ~10 m, including an active fiber, a non-linear loss device and a generated radiation output coupler of the ring resonator. Additional coupler for the output of the generated radiation from the fiber ring resonator, passive fiber, additional radiation input coupler of the fiber ring resonator are introduced into the laser. Pumping source is connected to one of the ends of the pump radiation input coupler, the other end of which is connected to the fiber ring resonator. Passive fiber is connected with one of its ends to an additional radiation output coupler of the fiber ring resonator, and its other end is connected to an additional radiation input coupler of the fiber ring resonator. Length of passive fiber is determined by the formula: L = T⋅υ, where T is the time interval between adjacent spikes, υ is the speed of light propagation in the fiber.

EFFECT: technical result consists in ensuring the possibility of obtaining stable and reproducible high-energy light pulses.
