SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a process of preparation used in agriculture N-(phosphonomethyl)-glycine (glyphosate). In the proposed method of N-(phosphonomethyl) - iminodiaceticacid is subjected to catalytic liquid phase oxidation of an aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide in a two phase system (organic phase - the aqueous phase) in the presence of a metal complex catalyst having general formula Q3{PO4[W(O)(O2)2]4}, where Q - a quaternary ammonium cation - [(R1)3NR2]+, where R1, R2 contain from 1 to 16 carbon atoms.

EFFECT: high yield of glyphosate with a considerable simplification of the process.
