FIELD: analytical chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of analytical chemistry. Disclosed is a method for the quantitative determination of N-(phosphonomethyl)-glycine (glyphosate) and N-(phosphonomethyl)-iminodiacetic acid (FIDAA) in their joint presence in solid samples prepared in a matrix of potassium bromide, which consists in comparing the values of optical density characteristic absorption bands of the analyzed compounds and the internal standard of potassium thiocyanate obtained by IR spectrometry.
EFFECT: invention provides quantitative determination of glyphosate and FIDAA with satisfactory accuracy and obtaining reproducible results.
