METHOD FOR ABRASIVE TOOLS IMPREGNATION Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC B24D3/34

Abstract RU 2618682 C1

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method involves tool impregnation in a vessel with an aqueous solution containing 20-25 g of chromium diiodide per liter of water, and abrasive tool convective drying as it rotates at a speed of 0.3-0.5 s-1 for 1.5-2 hours at 40-50°C, wherein abrasive tool impregnation is carried out in a boiling aqueous solution of chromium diiodide, and the impregnation time tn shall be equal min, where ν - abrasive tool volume in cm3, a - impregnated abrasive tool porosity, a0 - regulatory abrasive tool porosity.

EFFECT: reduced impregnation time and increased fixing strength of chromium diiodide in the pore space of the abrasive tool.
