SUBSTANCE: method comprises casting of silicon steel comprising, in wt %: Si 2.0-5.0, C up to 0.1, S 0.004-0.040, Cu up to 0.4, Mn up to 0.5, the amount of Cu+Mn up to 0.5, or in the form of a slab or ingot with thickness equal to or greater than 20 mm, hot rolling at 1,350-800°C to obtain a strip with thickness of between 3.5 and 12.0 mm, strip cold rolling with a total reduction ratio not less than 90 and not more than 98 %, in this case, the first cold rolling is carried out with the reduction ratio between 20 and 60 % at the temperature in the range between 30 and 300°C, then annealing is carried out at the temperature of 800-1,150°C for 30-900 seconds, and the second cold rolling is carried out to the final thickness with the reduction ratio of 70-93 % in one or more passes.
EFFECT: increased magnetic strip characteristics.
