FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method for periodontal local immune status diagnostic is proposed. The proposed method includes measurement of TNFα, MMP8 and MMP9 genes mRNA level, by means of reverse transcription and polymerase chain reaction in "real time", with further calculation of the ration of obtained genetic marker levels. If the ratio of TNFα/MMP8/MMP9 markers levels is in the range of 1/(±10.2)/ (10.2±), normal status of local nonspecific immunity in the examined periodontal point should be diagnosed, if the ratio of marker levels is beyond the specified range, a violation of nonspecific immunity should be diagnosed.

EFFECT: method provides a sensitive and objective assessment of the periodontal local immune status, which allows to assess the risks of local inflammation, and can be used in clinical and laboratory diagnosis.
