FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to catheter assemblies. The catheter assembly consists of a urinary catheter with a proximal end for insertion into the urethra and a distal end with the first connecting element, catheter packaging, containing a tubular element comprising walls made of elastic material with a proximal end and a distal end, that define the longitudinal catheter package axis, wherein the elastic tubular element comprises a tubular cavity for urinary catheter placement along the longitudinal axis of the catheter package and the catheter tube, and wherein the proximal end of the catheter package located so as to provide access to the proximal end of the urinary catheter; the second connecting element located on the outer surface of the catheter package wall. At that, the second connecting element is equipped with first connecting device for coupling to the first connecting element via the flexible wall of the catheter package so that the catheter can be moved along the longitudinal axis of the catheter package. The connecting devices have the form of projections or grooves on the internal surface area, interacting with a matching recess or protrusion on the first connecting element, wherein the catheter assembly is provided with gel or grease or supplied as a pre-wetted catheter assembly with a hydrophilic coating. At that, the second connector projections provided with a cone angle in the surface area abutting the first connecting element with a possibility of extension of the protrusions surface area in direct contact with the flexible wall of the tubular element, as well as elimination of sharp corners in contact with the tubular member.

EFFECT: invention minimizes the risk of catheter contamination and provides reduction of friction forces catheter extending from the package.
