FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: biosynthetic device of proximal tubule is described. The device is created by preparing cells lacking a biological matrix, inoculating the biological matrix with cells isolated from kidneys of mammals and, additionally, by endothelial cells of mammals. Then the device may be cultivated under static conditions or mature with the help of cultivation in a bioreactor. The device is capable of performing a function of the proximal tubule. Also various methods of manufacturing the devices of the proximal tubule and methods of using the biosynthetic devices of the proximal tubule in research are described. For example, the devices may be used for in vitro tubule cell transfer, under the conditions of toxic effect of various compounds or in screening studies of drug compounds. The proposed group of inventions can be used in pharmaceuticals.
EFFECT: differentiation of kidney cells into functional cells of the proximal tubules.
