FIELD: pharmacology.
SUBSTANCE: oligonucleotides are decsribed, modulating the expression of frataxin (FXN), in particular, by targeting the interaction with the natural antisense polynucleotides of frataxin (FXN). The present invention also relates to the use of the said oligonucleotides for treatment of diseases and disorders associated with the frataxin expression (FXN).
EFFECT: invention expands the arsenal of agents for treatment of diseases and disorders associated with the frataxin expression.
