SUBSTANCE: methods for sialidase gene 4 (NEU4) expression increase using an oligonucleotide that specifically binds to gene NEU4 natural antisense polynucleotide. An oligonucleotide with length from 10 to 30 nc is presented, which specifically binds to a natural antisense polynucleotide for NEU4 gene. A pharmaceutical composition comprising an effective amount of the said oligonucleotide is presented as well.
EFFECT: group of inventions allows to increase NEU4 gene expression which is useful for treatment or prevention of diseases associated with NEU4 gene or a product encoded by the gene.
