FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in production of contact spot welding of a reinforcement mesh. In working part of electrode there are open at one end transverse blind channels for circulating coolant, separated by walls, and one through transverse channel. First from the periphery the transverse blind channel is intended for supply of coolant, and the specified through transverse channel is the last one and is intended for removal of heated coolant. Open ends of the second and next blind channels, as well as one end of the through channel are closed by plugs, each of which is made with a cavity on its front end. In each separation wall at the bottom of the first and each next blind channel there is a transverse window connecting said channel with a neighboring channel with possibility of changing direction of coolant flow, and the last blind channel is connected to the above through channel by a transverse window made in the last separating wall.
EFFECT: use of several transverse channels increases cooled surface of electrode with simultaneous mixing of circulating coolant, which increases resistance of electrode.
