FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: in this process, mixture is agglomerated, comprising material that contains iron oxide, carbonaceous reductant and an additive for melting temperature adjusting, wherein a binder is admixed to the said mixture, and reduced iron is provided by heating the obtained agglomerates, reduction and partial melting of iron oxide in agglomerates, and providing possibility of coalescence of iron component. Particle diameter of fine-grained iron formed in the step for producing reduced iron is regulated, fine-grained iron is admixed to agglomerated mixture.
EFFECT: increased reduced iron production and increased productivity.
