FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: in the method, a layer of carbon dioxide is welded with a wire from a material with a high hardness, then the surface of the teeth is restored to the nominal size, the desired shape and the surface cleanliness by electric erosion treatment of a layer of welded high-hard material using a template graphite tool electrode whose surface is a copy of the mating surface of the mating part.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of multiple restoration of the gears surface of the synchronizer carriage without machining to the nominal size, the required shape and surface cleanliness.
