FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: in the method, a wire is welded from a material with a high hardness onto a worn surface in a carbon dioxide environment, and after surfacing the surface of the slots, the synchronizer carriage is restored to the nominal size, the desired shape and the surface finish of the finished part by eroding the welded high-hard material using a template graphite electrode-tool made in the form of the synchronizer carriage slots with a surface in the form of a interface copy of the reciprocal parts.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of multiple surface restoration of the synchronizer carriage slots without machining to the nominal size, the required shape and surface cleanliness.
