FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: rolling of a thin sheet is carried out in two rolls with a mismatch of their circumferential velocities by at least twice and with a single degree of deformation of at least 50% to a total degree of deformation of 75-95%, while rolling is carried out in two or four passes. In each pass, starting with the first one, the same discrepancy between the circumferential velocities of the rolls and the same unit degree of deformation of the metal are set, and between the passes, the sheet is rotated in the rolling surface by an angle of 90°.
EFFECT: increase of metal strength properties at the same time both along the length and width of the sheet due to the creation in it of a spatially uniformly fragmented structure of a metal with a high dislocation density.
