FIELD: pressure processing of metals.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to methods for manufacturing strips of aluminium alloy D16, and can be used in aerospace engineering and transport engineering. The method of rolling a strip of aluminium alloy D16 includes cold rolling of a strip in two rolls with mismatching circumferential speeds, according to the first embodiment, rolling is carried out in one pass with compression ε=12-35%, while the circumferential speeds of the lower and upper work rollers, V2 and V1, respectively, are set in the following ratio: V2/V1 = 3.8-4.2. According to the second embodiment, rolling is carried out in one pass with compression ε=36-80%, while the circumferential speeds of the lower and upper work rollers, V2 and V1, respectively, are set in the following ratio: V2/V1 = 4.8-5.2.
EFFECT: obtaining a fragmented metal structure due to large shear deformations during asymmetric rolling in one pass, reducing technological operations, reducing effort during metal rolling and reducing wear of rollers.
