FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: primary uveal melanoma is diagnosed by the presence of neovascular component in the area of a neoplasm with loop-like nature of own vascularization, with numerous bends, interlacings with the bounding avascular area corresponding to the tumor slope under the retinal pigmented epithelium. In the presence of the neovascular component in the neoplasm area with a tree-like and diffuse-scattered type of vascularization, absence of the avascular zone in the tumor slope area under the retinal pigmented epithelium, localized choroidal hemangioma is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method allows to reveal the peculiarities of tumor own vascularization for the correct diagnosis and choice of an adequate organ-preserving treatment.
