METHOD FOR PREDICTING DISEASE FLOW AT CHOROID MELANOMA Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A61B8/10

FIELD: medicine, ultrasound diagnostics.

SUBSTANCE: one should carry out ultrasound testing for the mentioned intra-ocular tumor in B-mode. Due to biometry it is necessary to detect its elevation in mm - parameter X1. In the mode of circulatory coding: chromatic mapping or energetic dopplerography one should determine the degree of melanoma vascularization - parameter X2. It should be coded with digits 1 in case of moderate vascularization and 2 - at low-vascular variant or 3 - at hyper-vascular tumor. In the mode of spectral dopplerography one should detect average value of peripheral vascular resistance in neoplasm route RI - parameter X3. Based upon the values of these parameters one should calculate the value "Y": Y=0.71+0.0778(X1)+0.63(X2)-1.257(X3). At achieving the value Y<1.5 it is possible to predict favorable flow of choroid melanoma. At values being Y≥1.5 one should predict unfavorable flow of the above-mentioned disease.

EFFECT: higher accuracy and efficiency of prediction.
