FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of hybrid laser-arc surfacing on any three-dimensional surfaces and can be used in various branches of mechanical engineering for the restoration of worn-out parts of machines and mechanisms, tools and the production of new ones. The method includes supplying a surfacing wire to the surfacing zone and exposing it to simultaneously reflected laser radiation and an electric arc. The laser beam and the arc torch are tilted at equal angles relative to the normal to the surface to be welded to ensure that the reflected laser beam is directed to the end of the welding wire. The metal is deposited in a protective environment, and, for example, argon or a mixture of argon with carbon dioxide is used as protective gases.
EFFECT: due to the simultaneous action of laser radiation and an electric arc on the surfacing wire, the productivity of laser surfacing is increased several times and the cost is reduced by replacing expensive laser energy with cheaper electric arc energy.
