SUBSTANCE: system comprises, at least, one leak detector (5) operably coupled to the controller (9) located on an underwater unit (14), the system is equipped with a floating element (1), on which the leak detector (5) is fixed. The floating element (1) is located under the hatch (10) of the christmas tree base plate (14) and over the roof (11) of the christmas tree (14), wherein the hatch (10) of the base plate is used for collecting leak hydrocarbon.
EFFECT: increasing the leak detection accuracy, simplifying the design, facilitating the system extraction process.
