SUBSTANCE: device for cleaning carpets comprises, at least, one cell-shaped washing basket for placing carpets placed side by side in the unfolded state. The basket contains, at least, a metal mesh having a V-shaped configuration formed by two sections that converge at the bottom edge, and each of which has a free end opposite the bottom edge. The carpets are loaded into the basket from the top between the free ends of the sections. Also, the device comprises two cross-members covering the sides of the basket, a supporting structure for supporting the basket.
EFFECT: basket is attached to the supporting structure with the possibility of rotating by a rotating mechanism, so that the basket can rotate about a transverse or longitudinal axis.
