FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to analytical chemistry and represents a method for performing immunochromatographic assay. The claimed method for performing immunochromatographic assay is characterized by the fact that transparent underlayer is used for production of a test-strip. After contact of the test-strip with the sample and completion of reagent movement along membranes, a substance dissolving nitrocellulose but not damaging the underlayer structure, e.g., acetonitrile, is applied on the nitrocellulose membrane. After drying of the solvent, glassy transparent mass is formed on the underlayer surface.

EFFECT: detection in transmitted light of the marker remained in binding zones provides the possibility of its full (100%) revealing at low level of nonspecific coloring beyond binding zones what finally improves confidence of assay result recording and allows to reveal presence of the test compound in lower concentrations in samples.
