FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: distance between pear-shaped neurons, their height when the ganglionic layer is located along the objective lens diameter are determined in the intact cerebellum cortex of the dead body by histological examination, and the percentage of immunopositive pear-shaped neurons to the S100 protein is determined by immunohistochemical examination. At a distance of 160-200 mcm, height of 40 mcm and more, and the number of immunopositive pear-shaped neurons to the S100 protein of 15% or less, a conclusion is made on the dead body biological age of 20-30 years. At a distance of 201-230 mcm, height of 38 mcm or less, and the number of immunopositive pear-shaped neurons to the S100 protein of more than 15%, a conclusion is made on the dead body biological age of 60-70 years.
EFFECT: possibility to determine the biological age of a dead body using a single fragment with high accuracy.
