The type of the approximating function F is preliminarily determined, which describes the response of each detection zone during wheel passage. Where during the operation of the wheel passage detection sensor when the wheel passes each detection zone the response values of each detection zone are recorded in the sensor memory as a ƒ function, the degree of compliance of the function to ƒ function F type is determined, when the function coincides with the specified accuracy with ƒ function F type the fact of passage of the exact wheel of the rail vehicle is registered.
EFFECT: increased reliability of registration of the rail vehicle wheel passage.
