FIELD: automobile production.
SUBSTANCE: vehicle system includes an engine, a brake pedal, a brake system and a control system. In response to the expected state of the hard pedal travel the pressure in the hydraulic brake pipe is increased up to the first threshold pressure by increasing the pressure in the hydraulic booster and additionally the pressure in the hydraulic brake pipe is increased higher than the first threshold pressure by increasing the vacuum in the brake booster. The method of improving the brake pedal travel, in which while using the brake pedal, adjust the variable brakes control parameter. The method of improving the brake pedal travel, wherein on the basis of the vacuum ratio in the brake booster and the pressure in the hydraulic brake pipe, determine the expected state of the hard pedal travel untill the expected state of the hard pedal travel occurs.
EFFECT: improved brake pedal travel to reduce the probability of the hard brake pedal occur in the engine system.
