FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method of processing sheet blanks from industrial aluminium alloys of the Al-Mg system involves machining the workpiece while simultaneously passing a constant electric current of density greater than 30 A/mm2 up to 50 A/mm2 for suppressing the formation of a strip and intermittent deformation with a simultaneous increase in the strength of the alloy.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce energy costs for metalworking, improve the quality of the surface to be treated, increase the service life and improve the fuel efficiency of aluminium-magnesium alloys used in the manufacture of aerospace machinery and cars.
