FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines with a branched outlet system. Method for the engine consists in the fact that in the presence of the engine operating condition the gas flow from exhaust manifold (80) is reduced to intake channel (28) upstream from compressor (162). Only first group of outlet valves (6) is connected with exhaust manifold (80). In response to gas flow reduction, gas flow is increased from exhaust manifold (80) to outlet channel (74) connected to purge outlet manifold (84) connected to second group of outlet valves (8). Embodiments of the method for the engine and system for the engine are disclosed.
EFFECT: technical result consists in prevention of ingress of increased amount of exhaust gases into compressor and in temperature decrease of exhaust gases flowing through compressor.
