SUBSTANCE: server and client devices share a policy of active delivery that allows the client device to forecast active data delivery by the server. Forecasting allows you to cancel in advance sending of some actively delivered data, thereby reducing the bandwidth consumption. The shared policy of active delivery may be implicit as for the server, and for the client, is indicated to the client by the server with the help of, for example, attaching a media presentation to the description file or including into a special HTTP header. The client can also request updates of the shared policy of active delivery in accordance with their own requirements.
