SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of providing a media content in a broadcast scenario for a streaming player, such as a DASH-player. Proposed is a method of providing a media content containing media segments for a streaming player. Media segments are sent from a server device to the streaming player via broadcasting. Method includes executed in the user equipment steps of receiving the first media segment, determining the time of receiving the first media segment. Further, as per the method, estimated is the time of availability of the media segment for requesting for the next media segments by modification of a certain time of receiving the first media segment for the correction value compensating the variation of intervals of receiving the media segments so, that the streaming player receives media segments with a constant time interval.

EFFECT: technical result is elimination of variation of media segments reception intervals owing to estimating the time of availability of a segment for requesting for the next media segments.
