FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: process of obtaining N-phenyl-adamantane-1-carboxamide derivatives is carried out by boiling adamantane-1-carboxylic acid with a primary amine in the presence of a catalyst. The primary amine is aniline or n-bromoaniline, boric acid as the catalyst, and the reaction is carried out in the o-xylene medium with a molar ratio of adamantane-1-carboxylic acid to the primary amine of 2:3.
EFFECT: simplification of the process for the preparation of N-phenyladamantane-1-carboxamide while maintaining the yield of the product.
