FIELD: machine engineering.

SUBSTANCE: silencer contains an inlet pipe and a rigidly connected body of porous material, the body comprises a branch pipe formed as one of the housing side covers perpendicular to which there is an inner cylindrical sleeve, rigidly attached and coaxial with peripherally positioned perforated sleeves. The other end of the inner cylindrical sleeve is rigidly connected to the second side cover of the housing by means of a screw cooperating with the threaded part of the sleeve. There are calibrated holes in the inner sleeve, the axes of which are perpendicular to the sleeve axis, and the cavity, formed by the perforated sleeves is filled with noise absorbing element. The noise absorbing element is made in the form of a body with external and internal perforated walls, between which there are layers of sound absorbing material. The first layer is more rigid and made solid and profiled and fixed to external surface, and the second layer is softer than the first one, discontinuous and located in the focus of sound reflective surfaces of the first layer, and the third layer of the sound-absorbing material is made of foamed sound absorbing material, and is placed between the first more rigid layer and the perforated surface of the sound absorbing element.

EFFECT: noise suppression efficiency improvement.
