FIELD: acoustics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means silencing aerodynamic noise of pneumatic equipment and systems for releasing compressed gas or air. Muffler contains inlet branch pipe, and housing from the porous material rigidly connected thereto, the housing comprises branch pipe, made in the form of one of the housing side covers, perpendicular to which the inner cylindrical bushing is rigidly fixed, coaxial with peripherally disposed perforated bushings, wherein the internal cylindrical bushing other end is rigidly connected to the second housing side cover by means of a screw, interacting with the bushing threaded part, wherein in the inner bushing calibrated holes are made with diameter d, which axes are perpendicular to the bushing axis, and formed by the perforated bushings cavity is filled with the noise absorbing element, wherein the peripherally arranged outer perforated bushing length H ratio to its diameter D is in the range of optimum values: H/D = 1.0…2.5., and the calibrated holes diameter d ratio to the inner bushing inner diameter d1 is in the range of optimum values: d/d1 = 0.3…0.9, and the noise absorbing element thickness b ratio to the peripherally located perforated bushings length H is in the range of optimum values: b/H = 0.05…0.25. Noise absorbing element 6 can be made of cermet with a porosity degree, in the range of optimum values: 30…45 %, or in the form of layer-by-layer and cross-winding of porous filaments, wound on an acoustically transparent frame (not shown in the drawing), for example, wire frame, or from rigid porous sound absorbing material, for example, a metal foam or shell limestone.

EFFECT: technical result is increased efficiency of noise suppression.
