FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means silencing aerodynamic noise of pneumatic equipment and systems for releasing compressed gas or air. Silencer contains an inlet pipe and a rigidly connected body made of porous material. Body is made in the form of a truncated cone shell, the larger base of which is rigidly connected to the end of the inlet pipe, and the smaller one is made in the form of a solid disk. Body can be made of cermet or a rigid porous noise-absorbing material. Shell of the truncated cone of the body is two-layered, while the layer adjacent to one of the walls is sound-absorbing, and the layer adjacent to another perforated wall is made of a sound-reflecting material consisting of uniformly distributed hollow tetrahedra, allowing to reflect the sound waves that fall in all directions.
EFFECT: technical result is increased efficiency of noise suppression.
